The infamous Gyroball

For those of you who watched the WBC today, and know who Daisuke Matsuzaka is, but still haven't seen a gyroball before then I have a treat for you. Apparently Will Carrol of Baseball Prospectus has taught a high schooler named Joey Niezer how to throw the pitch, the pitch that's rotation is described as a bullet, that drops like a curveball. Sounds "nasty", huh? Well, I have two videos that I found. Here is the first one and here is the second one. The first video shows the movement from behind, while the second video shows the rotation of the ball. Now all that's left is seeing a pitcher use it consistently, and effectivley, in a game.
